The SANS Medical Student Chapter (MSC) is dedicated to offering early guidance and leadership development to medical students curious about a future in neurosurgery. This chapter serves as a platform for students and groups to arrange professional, educational, and research endeavors within their respective universities, obtain mentorship, and ensure active participation at the national level, preparing the forthcoming neurosurgical pioneers.
The SANS-MSC is envisioned to be a supporting foundation for all neurosurgery interest groups across medical colleges in the Kingdom. Our commitment is to empower them with the essential logistics and tools to enrich their activities.
The SANS-MSC is designed around a paradigm of innovation and collaboration, rather than traditional hierarchy. We firmly believe that the essence of progress lies in ideas, passion, and projects.
Documentation Requirement: All neurosurgery interest groups from medical colleges in the Kingdom seeking to join must provide an official letter verifying the establishment of their group within their respective College of Medicine. Students joining SANS via a Student Membership subscription will automatically be part of the student chapter.
Regulations and Funding: The operational regulations, guidelines, and the sourcing of funds for interest groups remain under the view of the respective College of Medicine. The SANS-MSC does not dictate these aspects and is not responsible for funding. The chapter’s primary role is to facilitate connections, offer mentorship opportunities, support with logistics for activities, and provide a platform for shared resources and ideas.
